Look Who Just Finished Moving In!

This is my first post from my dorm room. It is a pleasant room, though with a weird off-white color to the walls that would no doubt drive tabular_rasa nuts, according to the latest post. My computer is (obviously) up and functioning, it is a warm bordering on hot day, but with a nice breeze blowing through my window. Classes start Friday, so right before Labor Day Weekend. That will be a gruelingly intense day of Chemistry and State Government, starting at 8:50 am and done by 10:45 am. Until then, I've got some time to get used to campus and try to track down whoever's around that I know.

My room is a single (ha!) so I have no roommate. I recently met one of the other students from across the hall. His name is Ankit, he is of Indian descent and comes from Kuwait. He seems like a very nice fellow. So far all the people I've met have been nice. Right down the hall is a bathroom with three shower stalls, one toilet stall, and two sinks, which is to be shared by seven of us on this end of the dorm. I think that should be easily manageable. The dorm itself has been fairly quiet; we'll see if things get more social as more people show up.

Things are looking good and I'm ready to take on the world.
